A Moment in Time

.
The New York Times has a blog called "Lens" for photography, video, and visual journalism. I just discovered it. Recently, they asked readers to take a picture, wherever they were, on May 2 at 15:00 UTC (coordinated universal time) and send it in. The pictures have been compiled on a globe that you can click. It is amazing! I've never seen so many interesting pictures. It makes me want to take a picture every day at the same time. What a fabulous way to document your life! Check it out: A Moment in Time.

"Orange is the happiest color"

.
...according to Frank Sinatra.

I used to think that orange was the ugliest color. Now I think it's really quite nice. I've been thinking. Beauty, and happiness, really is in the eye of the beholder. And you can change the way you look things. How often do we judge a person or a situation through the wrong set of eyes? How often do we get angry, or frustrated, or sad, because we have decided to see orange as an ugly color? Maybe, just maybe, we would all be a little happier if we chose to see orange as a happy color.

And so, I leave you with a quote from An Ideal Husband,

"To look at a thing is quite different from seeing a thing, and one does not see anything until one sees its beauty."
